Introducing Juicy Couture Timepieces: The Ones To Watch!

Juicy Couture  has been a fashion superstar ever since celebrities began sporting the brand’s signature velour tracksuits back in the early 2000′s.  While Dillard’s has carried Juicy Couture fragrances for some time, and recently began offering Juicy Couture sunglasses, we are now proud to extend our line-up with Juicy Couture timepieces.

blog_image_juicy_couture

Like all things Juicy, these watches exude Southern California’s palm-tree ambiance and red-carpet  glamour.  We  especially like the Juicy Couture Pedigree silver bracelet watch with its silvertone-plated stainless steel and oversized XII on the face.   For those in love with shine, the Stella silver bracelet watch – with a Swarovski crystal dial — is the clear alternative!  Go for the gold with the Jetsetter round gold bracelet watch, which has a goldtone dial and crystal bezel.  Think pink with the Pedigree pink silicone watch.

After you pick your timepiece, why not add a pair of Juicy Couture shades like these Aviator Sunglasses?  Then complete your Juicy-self by applying a fragrance like  La La Eau de Parfum Spray.

Juicy Couture has always appealed to the young at heart. Start the clock on a newer, more adventurous you by shopping for a Juicy Couture timepiece now.

Is a watch part of your everyday accessory line-up?

Dillard’s Exclusive Interview: Cari Coffman, Director of Corporate Registry for Dillard’s

Dillards_Bridal_Registry

Q: What are some of the hottest registry items for this year?
A: Single-serve coffee makers like Nespresso and the new Starbucks Verismo machine are hot. Healthy living seems to be a trend right now, too. Juicers, blenders and steamers are showing up in greater numbers on registries. Bright, fun bedding like Trina Turk has captured our couple’s attention as well. We are seeing more bedding collections on registries this year.

Q: What are the most fun things you’ve seen on the registry?
A: The Margaritaville Mixed Drink Maker is so much fun and makes a great gift. I love the new Rogaska Luxe collection, especially the chess candlestick collection. It puts a fun twist on classic items.

Q: What are some of the most popular items you sell?
A: Fiesta dinnerware is the favorite dinnerware choice of our brides. They love to mix all the colors, and there are tons of great accessories. Luggage is always a popular choice. Wally Bags are loved by both brides and grooms; they are so functional. The famous garment bag comes in a 52″ dress length. And, the clean lines of Lenox Tuscany stemware make it really popular right now.

Q: What are 5 registry essentials that every couple needs?

  1. A set of quality cookware that will last for many years.
  2. High-quality casual dinnerware. Cheap dinnerware will chip, crack and discolor over time. Invest in quality everyday dinnerware.
  3. Dillard’s Luxury Hotel 700-thread-count sateen sheets. They’re amazing.
  4. A Kitchen Aid stand mixer. You won’t believe how many uses there are for this machine.
  5. Plush bath towels are a definite must-have and don’t skimp on the quantity requested.

Q: How should couples choose what to put on their registry?
A: They should start by thinking about their lifestyle. For example, if they like to entertain, then they will want to make sure they have plenty of serveware on the registry. They should think about their lives 5 and 10 years from now as well. Do they envision hosting the holidays with their families? Maybe they need 18 place settings instead of 12. We provide a checklist to guide our couples as they go through the home store to make sure they don’t leave important items off the registry.

Q: There are tons of registry options on the web and at brick-and-mortar department stores. What sets Dillard’s registry apart from competitors?
A: One of the best kept secrets around is our completion program. After the wedding, we offer 20% off most remaining items on the registry. We offer the option of personal registries, which are private registries only available by request in store. These are perfect for lingerie and cosmetics; anything the couple does not want all guests to view. Plus, our brides can register for anything in the store. We also have exclusive registry incentive gifts from our vendors.

Q: How far in advance should the bride/groom to-be register?
A: We recommend registering 6 months before the wedding, but at least 3 weeks before the first shower. Couples need to remember to update their registry after each shower and 2-3 weeks before the wedding to make sure there are enough items at varying price points available for purchase at all times.

Q: What about those folks looking for last-minute wedding gifts? What items do you recommend?
A: We always recommend purchasing a gift off the couple’s registry. If you can’t find an item on the couple’s registry to purchase, try and add on to an existing item. For example, if the couple’s Keurig coffee maker has already been purchased, how about some accessories like a milk frother and coffee caddy?

Q: What are some wedding gift ideas for those who are on a budget?
A: Nambe offers some beautiful pieces, which are a great value. The Yaro Salad bowl and the Mikko Bar tray are fantastic pieces. For the wine lover, there’s the Cuisinart’s Private Reserve 8-Bottle Wine Cellar. Anything from the Marquis by Waterford Vintage Mixology collection is a great value.

Get to Know Nicole Miller Artelier

Nicole Miller brings a wide range of influences to the looks in her Artelier collection. Raised in America by a French mother, Miller continued to learn from both fashion cultures by studying design in Rhode Island and Paris.

The non-conformist glamour of her collections make her a favorite on red carpets and the pages of fashion magazines alike. We love the combination of elegant style with little surprises that add youth and a sense of fun to dressed-up looks.

Blog

Modernist geometric cuts and Eastern-flavored paisley come together perfectly in this lace shift dress. Bright colors, smart pleated details and a sassy hi-low hem make this top a conversation piece that draws attention but flatters the figure. A classic with a twist, this strapless dress features a peplum detail that dips lowest in front for a modern, hourglass-enhancing style.

Wedding Wardrobe FAQ

Congratulations, you’ve been invited to a wedding! Your next to-do? Picking what to wear. We’ve tackled frequently asked wedding wardrobe questions to get you there in style.

Q: The reception will be outdoors; any suggestions on shoes?
A: Skip the stilettos and go for wedges, chunky heels or flats. Wedges and chunky heels don’t sink into grass and provide more stability on uneven surfaces. Slip on flat, strappy sandals or peep-toe ballets with a touch of shimmer for a dressy look without the height.

Q: The invitation requests cocktail attire; what does that mean?
A: This is your time to shine! Skip floor-sweeping gowns for shorter dresses in lustrous fabrics with metallic high-heel sandals and dramatic earrings. Make sure to grab your favorite clutch for all your beauty essentials.

Q: I’m a bridesmaid and I’m worried about humidity and frizz. What products or tools are my best bet?
A: Try the T3 SinglePass 1” straightening iron. It’s your go-to tool for sleek, straight locks or lasting curls. Other frizz-fighting must-haves? For a summer wedding, try the Frederic Fekkai Summer Hair Smooth Sailing Anti-Frizz Cream. Or try this 5-star favorite on Dillards.com, the Frederic Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream for softer, easier to manage hair.

Q: I’m going to a destination wedding. What are some great portable beauty products?
A: For a flawless look on-the-go, here are a few of our suitcase-ready favorites.

Q: As mother of the bride, how can I make a good impression without upstaging the bride?
A: That’s easy! First, remember 2 quick don’ts:

  1. Don’t wear white.
  2. Don’t match or clash with the bridal party.

After that, the dos are fun!

  1. Do find a flattering fit (maybe something with pleats or a matching bolero for extra coverage).
  2. Do match the formality (or casual feel) of the event.
